Stories & Statements of Success

“Just a note to thank you for the flexibility yesterday!  I really enjoy the intergenerational activities and you are doing a great job with this.  It probably can be challenging at times but your commitment shows.  Seeing the smiles on the Grand-friends is priceless. Getting to see the exuberance and innocence of the little ones is so uplifting. I feel that the intergenerational goal of Agelink is so important and a great model.  For me, it fulfills my need to help the elderly, but also to be with the little ones who are so enthusiastic and energizing!” – Pat Dirschberger, Agelink Volunteer

 “Hi Ashley!
Sounds as if mother is settling in quite well in school. Truly a wonderful thing, hopefully for all involved. The reports have been glowing and it certainly gives mother a sense of belonging. After all, she spent virtually all of her working life in the school system (much to the chagrin of her younger son, I might add!). The new hearing aid(s) should add a positive new dimension to her daily life. She is so looking forward to that for sure.
So great to meet you Ashley. What a marvelous concept the Intergenerational Education System is. Everyone wins. Thanks for taking mother into the fold. Her heart is full of love and to share it rewards all involved. So nice to hear mother is still a hit in the classroom. The picture is priceless and it brings back such fond memories as I was growing up. She speaks (incessantly, I might add) of the love of and for the kids and their early childhood development. What a wonderful program this is for all involved. How can such a successful concept that seems so obvious and simple be practiced by so few? Agelink is doing the Lord's work in more ways than one!
Be well and thanks again for all of your attention. Best your way.”

“Agelink has been a great experience for our students. They come back to campus with wonderful, positive stories and relate these to me. The opportunities they have are so unique, they could not be duplicated in a high school classroom. Thanks again for your continued support.”
- George Olson, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Liaison

“On behalf of the Next S.T.E.P. Program and students, we would like to thank you for your continuous support of the work experience program. The work experience opportunity you offer to our students is greatly appreciated.  It would not be possible for our students to gain valuable work experience without the help of you and your staff.
It has been a great first semester. Our students have enjoyed working along side your staff.  They have learned valuable job skills that can be used for many years to come.”
