Infant Program
Recent research into the basic foundations of how a child learns spotlights that the basic wiring of a children's brain is accomplished during the very earliest years. The type of experiences and interactions children have during those years will affect them for life. Agelink's curriculum for infants is designed to support and encourage the myriad types of brain development that occur during the first year of life, while respecting and celebrating that each baby is unique.
Agelink's infant program and curriculum is dedicated to the development of trust, security, emotional and physical growth through prompt, tender and responsive individual care. Our intergenerational connections add an extended family experience to a child's day.
The infant wing of our facility utilizes a three room design complimented by an outdoor patio and lawn area allowing for both indoor and outdoor experiences. Infants of similar developmental stages are grouped together in each of the three rooms with primary caregivers. These individual rooms flow into one another, separated by a half wall and gate, much like rooms in a home. Separate sleeping areas, a service kitchen, laundry area and restroom complete the infant program's home-like setting.
