TAKE SOMEONE'S HAND Does love come wrapped in little boxes or play in fields like little foxes or blow in like a gusty wind or shine like a star way out so far? No, said the wise old man. Does love swing in trees or crawl up on your knees or fall on plains like soft summer rains or run down streets on bare little feet? No, said the wise old man. Well, if love doesn't run 'n fall or swing 'n crawl or even come out to play How can I tell if it's here today. Why can't I see? HUSH--LISTEN TO ME! Just "TAKE SOMEONE'S HAND"
Poem by Mary Lou Hapner
In the spirit of the poem, young and old, family and friends came together to personally draw and form each tile used in this mural. The artists, Nina Solomon and Sue Chenoweth were commissioned to design and build the mural. Exhibiting great artistry they cut, colored, glazed and designed it to illustrate the poem which runs throughout the lobby of the facility.
